Most of you probably know this already, but just in case you don’t, my Halfdome hat pattern is now available on Knitty for public consumption. Perfect for the bereft-of-hair among us . . . although you certainly don’t need to be bald to wear one. Or to knit one.

Wow, I didn’t know that that was your pattern! Have been reading the blog since a couple of weeks. 🙂 Congrats on getting your pattern in Knitty!
Congrats on the hats, buddy. And I love the bald heads. I’ll probably make one as soon as
my to do list shortens.
Thank you, thank you thank you!
My dad and uncle also thank you, but they don’t know it yet 😉
Love it. It’s actually cool enough that my 12 year old daughter (who has way too much hair) wants one. Black with a red brim. She’s on the to-do list.
Moving to Canada soon, so I’ll have at least one of these on the needles soon. 🙂
I’m interested in trying your Halfdome pattern, but I hate seams in knitted items. Do you think it would work just as well with DPNs in the round?
Smashing little hat. I dig it.
Love the pattern, especially the decreases. Those swirling spirals on baby-style hats just aren’t butch. I’m making one of these for my American friend Rob, to protect him from the cold Fenland winds of Cambridge (UK) when autumn comes. He’s training to be a priest, so the cross-pattern is sort of appropriate too. Thanks!
I have the yarn, my circular and double point neeedles are ready, the pattern is printed. Alas, I was in an automobile accident Monday 7/17 and shattered my left pinky finger. No knitting, but lots of painful physical therapy in my future.
I’ll send you a photo as soon as I’m knitting again.
Saw pattern, figured it for yours as it seemed to be in the same ‘mood’ as your blog, purchased yarn and MADE IT!! Actually made 2, now, as my husband demanded one when he saw the one I made for my brother. Great pattern, great photos in pattern, great blog (Actually printed the pattern, and photos to stick to the tin I put the finished hat in to send. Looked funky.) Thanks for it all. This is the third thing I’ve knitted except for experimental scarves, since I started knitting in May. No one told me it was so bloody addictive. Your pattern was a great one because even I could follow it, with my limited skills and experience. Thanks again.
Has anyone else made this cool hat on circulars? I’m just curious. I’m just a big chicken when it comes to seaming.
