More Than Meets The Eye

You may have just surfed over here from knitty, by way of Retrofit, my most recent sweater pattern.  What you see, though, is not all there is.  This sweater contains many untold secrets, which I will be divulging in this space sometime in the next few days.  I’d divulge them tonight, but I’m going to see The Bad Plus play at Yoshi’s after work, and by the time I get home I’ll have too many crazy jazz covers in my head to write a reasonable post.

Stay tuned!

Bless you for this amazing sweater pattern, one that I can make for myself and my husband. It’s rare that an innovative yet wearable and timeless man sweater comes along… this is definitely one. I’ll be watching your blog for further info.

Hiya! Great sweater! I just wanted to let you know that you’ve got an extra http// in the direct link to the sweater. Can’t wait to find out all the secrets!

Thanks twice, Laura, for the comment and for the tag correction. Fixed!

Thank you for finally publishing a sweater “designed for a man” that’s actually in a size I can make for myself. I am a jeans and t-shirt girl and I love the patterns I see out there for men’s sweaters, but they are always way too big for me to make for myself and I am not confident in adjusting the sizes myself yet. So I can make your sweater in 34″ and it’ll fit me … whahoooo!!!!!

Great pattern! Enjoy yourself at the Bad Plus–I saw them Tuesday night and they rocked.

Glad to see that the needles still get some work. 😉 Congrats on the pattern being published!

I love love love your patterns, and I’ve missed yer blog. Reading the previous post, I get what you are saying, but that professor, IMNSHO, was a pretentious git. What is interesting to me, and perhaps to your other readers, is often process – like what you are knitting now. It isn’t filler.

    My $.02.

Love each and every one of your patterns I come across! It’s so great to find something to knit for DH that isn’t fru fru~ Having been a drummer in the 90’s – (and is still hiding those concert tees under sweaters and the like) this is perfect! Thanks again.

It’s a great sweater. I want to knit it for myself, as well as for any guys in my life who might like it.

  • Shell says:

Retrofit and Avast are the only designs I’ve found that my husband will even consider letting me knit for him. Stylish, manly, and definitely not cute. THANK YOU!

  • Lee Ann says:

Great pattern! And,uh, “former Rush fan”? I freely admit to being a current Rush fan…believe it or not, they still rock a concert hall like no one else can. They sound exactly like they did when they were young. I have NO idea how they manage that…but I want what they’re having.
