The New Blog is Here!

Well, that didn’t take as long as I thought it would. There are still some things I want to tweak over there in the link menu, like the order of the links, and the order of the link categories, but all in all this page now looks the way I want it to. And thanks to Word Press, doing this post took a fraction of the time that it used to. It’ll be a few days before all of the old posts and comments have been transfered.

If you’re a regular here, then you’ll want to bookmark the new URL, and also subscribe to the new feed, which you can do over there on the right. You can still look at my old blog here if you want to see an old posting. You should also check out ask yarn boy, my knitting advice column. Some of you are already doing this, but that page doesn’t get anywhere near as many hits as it should . . . and it’s not your typical knitting advice column.

So, welcome to the new blog! I’ll be posting some pictures of that sweater that I’m designing soon, and I’ll answer Another Yarnish Boy’s question about what makes me “throw the yarn.”

I am tickled to have run across your new blog. I will be posting it as my new favorite blog of the week, if you don’t mind. Perhaps it will generate a little well deserved traffic.

Does your wife blog as well? Is she someone I read regularly?

I’ve been a homeschooling mom for 17 years and managed to teach both children (one of each) to crochet, crosstitch and knit, among other crafty things (I also taught them to cook, clean, do laundry and write a proper 5-paragraph essay, but that’s neither here nor there.) Only my husband, willing as he is to try, has been unable to grasp knitting. He, too, is a lefty, somewhat ambidextrous, and can make nice, neat knit stitches, but lacks the perseverance to actually create something beyond a small square.

Welcome to your new blog! I’m glad to meet you.

Yeah! Congratulations on the successful move. Having recently moved blogging software myself I commend you on the quick turnaround. I will update my links right away.

I’m honored to be in your blogroll! I’m also very happy with your instructions for the entrelac scarf…it came out quite nice, and I’m hoping to see the hat pattern soon!
